Hello, my name is Chef Mark and I am the owner of SD Chef. I started SD Chef in 2003 after I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Sydney Australia.
Many of my clients are shocked to find out how thin I am (5' 9",150 pounds, 42 years old). This is a result of a lifetime of good eating habits. I avoid processed foods and enjoy lean proteins, whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables.
Originally I cooked meals in clients homes but saw a need to offer the same quality of cuisine to a broader market. I began a quest to find my own commercial kitchen to make this a reality.
In May of 2007, I found the perfect location in El Cajon, CA. I have an A rated commercial kitchen and have scored 98% or higher on all of my Department of Health Inspections. In fact, my last 3 inspections were 100%!
I have spent a lifetime learning and studying food. I have a long list of food allergies so it was vital for me to know a lot about food and how things are prepared.
After successful careers in finance and retail I decided to follow my passion and enroll in Culinary School.
I have cooked over 30,000 meals in the past 6 plus years and now I bring all that knowledge together to prepare healthy meals for you!
